TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Interested parties should submit their
bids close cover marked on envelop for purchase of above mentioned items in Pak
Rupees inclusive of all Taxes (i. e., GST, Tax/WH. Tax etc.) with holding tax
will be deducted as per Government Rules from the bill/invoice at source,
C&F/F. O. R. Islamabad along with 2.5% earnest money in shape of Draft/pay
order in the name of Project Director, Geoscience Advance Research
Laboratories, Islamabad. The bids
should be unconditional, valid for 120 days and also accompanied with copies of
Income Tax, GST registration certificates etc. (have the certified authority
for supply of the items from the manufacturer or sole distributor).
The bids
should be received up to 17-05-2007 by
1130 am and will be opened on the same in the presence of the interested
parties or their representative at 1230 pm.
The Project
Director reserves the right to accept or reject any/all bids partly or totally
with out assigning any reason, reduce or increase the quantity according to the
needs of the department and not necessary to accept the lower tender on
technical ground etc.

TENDER NOTICE
1). X-ray Diffractometer System with state of the art

routine phase analysis and with five extra x-ray tubes and 1000 sample holders.
2). Hallow Cathod lamps of Na, K, Mo,
W, Hg and Sr attachable to Perkin-Elmer AAnalyst 800 (Atomic Absorption
Spectrometer. AAS).
3). Graphite Tubes for Graphite Furnace
of Perkin-Elmer AAnalyst 800 (Atomic Absorption Spectrometer. AAS).

TENDER
SPECIFICATIONS FOR XRD
1.
X-ray Generator
Microprocessor
controlled x-ray generator, including radiation enclosure with specifications:
Maximum output power : 3.0 k, Maximum high voltage: 60 k,
Maximum anode current: 60 mA Stability: Less than 0.01 % per 10% mains
variation, Radiation safety: Less than 1 μ Sievert/h at 10 cm distance
from the enclosure.
2.
X-ray tube
X-ray
tube should have ceramic insulation (manufactured by the XRD supplier). It
should be of long fine focus type with Cu anode, 60 kV, 55mA, 2200W. The x-ray tube should have electronic tube
identification & also the facility to rotate line & point focus without
disconnection and realignment.
3.
Goniometer
Goniometer
should be of vertical type (THETA-THETA) based on direct optical position
sensors with independent drives for tube & detector, based on DC motors.
Angular reproducibility: ± 0.0001 deg Slew speed: 12 deg. per sec. 2 theta
range: -40 to +220 degree, Minimum step size: 0.0001 deg., Maximum step size :
1.27 degrees
4. Sample Stages
Following stages should be supplied: Flat samples
stage to hold flat rectangular sample holders and a multipurpose sample stage,
which can accommodate large samples up to 1kg weight.
5.
Optics
X-ray
Diffractometer should be based on Pre-Fix optics concept where different
optical geometries including primary, secondary & sample stages should be
easily exchangeable without any need for alignment.
Optics should include primary beta filter, programmable automatic divergence
slits, and anti scatter slits. The programmable automatic slits should allow
for both symmetrical as well as asymmetrical illumination of the sample.
6.
Detector
FAST solid state detector should also be quoted. This fast detector should be based on Real Time
Multiple Strip (RTMS) technology that has the capability of recording the
diffractogram up to 100 times faster than conventional sealed gas detector but
without any loss in analytical performance (sensitivity and resolution).
7.
Electronics
Electronics
controller should be able to monitor & control all diffractometer functions
such as angles, counts, slits, generator, safety etc.
8.
Computer:
Pentium
IV processor with latest configuration to be supplied along with 17” flat
monitor and printer.
9.
Software
Software
should have features: based on extensible Markup Language (XML), simultaneous
data collection & analysis, peak search and search – match, profile
fitting, elaborate pattern treatment such as data smoothing, background subtraction
, alpha-2 stripping etc, ICDD PDF-2 database
The
crystallographic software based on Rietveld method should be quoted along with
ICSD database.
10.
Water Cooling System
A
suitable imported closed loop water chiller system must be supplied with the
XRD.
